Can my floor be refinished, or does it need replacing?
Most solid hardwood can be sanded and refinished several times over its life, and many floors that look ruined can be saved. Some engineered floors have only a thin wear layer. We'll check during your free estimate and give you an honest answer.
How much does refinishing cost?
It depends on square footage, the condition of the floor, repairs, stain, the number of finish coats and things like stairs. That's why every estimate is free and based on your actual floor, not a generic price.
How long does the job take?
It depends on the size of the area and the finish you choose, since each coat needs time to dry. We'll give you a schedule with your estimate so you can plan around it.
Do I need to move out or move my furniture?
The rooms being refinished need to be empty, and you'll need to stay off the floor while the finish cures. We'll explain exactly how to prepare and when you can walk on the floor and bring furniture back.
Do you do commercial work?
Yes. We work in offices, businesses and rental properties as well as homes, and we can plan the work around your hours.
Can you change the colour of my floor?
Yes. Once the floor is sanded to bare wood we can stain it lighter, darker or keep it natural. We can do test patches so you can see the colour on your own floor before we commit.
